Our Operating System
Modern mobile television today means more than just reception. It means comfort, speed, and a user experience that feels instantly familiar—no matter where you’re traveling. That’s exactly why we’ve been consistently using the licensed webOS Hub operating system since late 2023.
FAMILIAR. POWERFUL. FUTURE-PROOF.
To offer our customers a modern and familiar smart TV experience on the road, we made a deliberate decision in 2023 to fundamentally change our technology. After our initial experiences with Android-based systems, we have since consistently relied on LG’s licensed webOS Hub operating system. This combines the intuitive operation and comfort of familiar smart TV platforms from the home environment with the special requirements of mobile use.
As a development partner in the caravanning sector, we actively contribute to the further development of the platform and specifically adapt it to the requirements of motorhomes, caravans, commercial vehicles, and yachts. At the same time, we benefit from close collaboration with an internationally established development structure, which ensures long-term software support, continuous development, and regular OTA updates. Additionally, licensing agreements with platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ guarantee long-term support for important streaming services and provide investment security for our customers.
A crucial difference from the competition lies in our hardware philosophy: While webOS Hub is provided by LG as a licensed operating system, we develop the entire hardware architecture of our televisions—particularly the mainboard as the heart of the system—according to our own quality and development standards. Instead of standard market solutions, we deliberately use a platform specifically developed for mobile use. This ensures maximum voltage stability, high reliability, and long-lasting performance—even under demanding conditions.
The introduction to the webOS platform began with the DSBW+ and SBW+ model series, which are based on the first generation webOS Hub 2.0. The current model generations DW, DWS, and W already use the advanced second-generation webOS Hub 2.0S platform.
